The online registration of PM Awas Yojana - Urban 2.0 has been started

• Visit the PM Awas Yojana’s official website - Click here https://pmaymis.gov.in/ and apply.

• On the main PMAY page, click on the ‘Citizen Assessment’ option, and select ‘Apply Online’ from the drop-down menu. You will see four options. Select the one that applies to you.

• Click on PMAY-U 2.0 to Apply and you will be landed on https://pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024/PMAY_SURVEY/EligiblityCheck.aspx where you can see the user’s instructions. After reading the instructions, click on Click to proceed.

You will be directed to https://pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024/PMAY_SURVEY/EligiblityCheck.aspx to check your eligibility.

Enter information like the state in which you wish to apply, the annual income of the household, the vertical, whether you live in a pucca house in India, and if availed of any government housing scheme in the last 20 years.

Next, you will get a form where you will give consent for Aadhaar authentication. Once this is done, fill out the online form, upload documents, and submit the form. Before applying for the benefit of PMAY, note that one has to carefully read and understand the details of the form. Once a vertical is selected, then it cannot be changed at a later stage. One must be informed that completing the application does not grant the citizen the right to receive the benefits of the PMAY-U 2.0 scheme unless the eligibility is verified by the respective States/UTs/ULBs/CNAs/PLIs.

Documents required for registering with PMAY- U 2.0

• Applicant’s Aadhaar details
• Aadhaar details of family members
• Active bank account details of the applicant with linked Aadhaar.
• Income proof (Only PDF file, Size up to 100kb.)
• Land document (In case of BLC vertical). (Only PDF file, Size up to 1mb.)

• Visit the official PM Awas Yojana website, https://pmaymis.gov.in/
• You can see the option to access your PMAY online application form either by providing your mobile number or by assessment ID and your father’s name. Select one option and fill in the relevant details.
• Now you will be able to see the online form. Click on print and download your Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana online form.

Additionally, candidates can complete the PMAY offline form at PMAY-listed banks or state-run Common Service Centers (CSCs). You will have to pay a fee of Rs 25 to fill out the PMAY 2025 registration form.

Note that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) has not given authority to any private entity or person to collect fees from any beneficiary under this scheme.

To apply for the PM Awas Yojana through the bank, the beneficiaries should get in touch with the empaneled bank that gives home loans for credit-linked subsidy schemes. Beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2025 should submit the PMAY filled form with a copy of the UID card and other supporting documents to the bank.

The last date of PM Awas Yojana 2024 for submission was December 31, 2024.

In-situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR): This is slum rehabilitation, in which the government redevelops the land beneath the slums and gives eligible beneficiaries Rs 1 lakh.

Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP): Under this plan, states will construct affordable housing projects for the EWS category with a central grant of Rs 1,50,000, either through central agencies or in collaboration with the private sector.

Beneficiary-led individual house construction/enhancements (BLC): With central assistance of Rs 1,50,000, this allows people, particularly those from the EWS category, to either build a new home or renovate an existing one.

Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS): The government provides a central subsidy on home loans between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 12 lakh at reduced interest rates for the building of new homes or the renovation of existing homes to lower interest rates and the overall loan amount for first-time borrowers.

PMAY Online 2025 applications fall into two main categories:

Slum dwellers

People who live in low-quality conditions in urban informal settlements are known as slum dwellers. For example, more than 300 people live in extremely subpar housing. These have inadequate and unclean infrastructure, such as drinking water and restrooms. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana program allows slum dwellers who own kutcha houses to apply for Housing for All.

Under the other three components

Under this category, there are four sub-categories for PMAY applicants: 

• Log on to https://pmaymis.gov.in/
• Under Citizen Assessment apply online by choosing benefits under the other 3 components.
• Enter the Aadhaar number and click submit.
• Enter all the required details, and the captcha code, and then click submit.
• By entering your Aadhar card number, you can access your application form and change the PMAY online.

To apply PMAY online under the slum dwellers category, choose slum dwellers under the Citizen Assessment option and proceed with the steps mentioned above.

• Go to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana's official website. Click here pmaymis.gov.in
• From the Citizen Assessment dropdown box, choose the ‘For Slum Dwellers’ option.
• Enter your Aadhaar number and click submit. Note that if an incorrect Aadhaar number is entered, the form will be rejected.
• If the information submitted is correct, you will go to the next page where other information including name, income, number of family members, residential address, mobile number, religion, caste, and head of the family.
• Enter the captcha and submit.

• People with an annual income of more than Rs 18 lakh
• Individuals who own a pucca house in the whole country. However, an exception to this is the enhancement of the existing house as the pucca house is less than 21 sqm.
• People who have already taken any government subsidy to purchase a home

• Check if you are eligible for PMAY and then proceed further.
• Have a valid Aadhaar card, else you cannot apply for a PMAY unit.
• All the details asked should be filled in and should be accurate so that the form is not rejected.

• You can easily fill out the online application.
• The applicant can simply check the application's status online after it has been submitted.

How to verify the PMAY Gramin list online?

To verify the PMAY Gramin list, check the following steps.

Visit the PMAY official website.

• Under the reports section, select ‘ Beneficiary Details for Verification
• Enter details such as

  • Next, select PMAY, enter the captcha code, and click submit to view the list.

Step 1: Copy and paste the following link into your browser:

Step 2: On the home page, select the "Citizen Assessment" option.

Step 3: From the various options that appear on the screen, select the ‘Track Your Assessment Status’ option at the bottom of the menu.

You can check the PMAY application status in 2 methods:

Option 1: With assessment ID

Option 2: By applicant’s name, father’s name, and ID type. Enter details and you can see the status.

Step 1: Visit the official website https://pmaymis.gov.in/

Step 2: Hovering the cursor over the "Find Beneficiary" option on the home page will reveal the "Beneficiary wise funds released" option. Click on it.

Step 3: A new page will now appear before you. Enter your mobile number in it and click on the ‘Send OTP’ option.

Step 4: Now an OTP will be sent to your phone number. To find out how much money has been released to you under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, enter it in the proper location.
