Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Invest ₹18.29 Crore in Premium Versova Apartment

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma just added another Mumbai property to their portfolio.

Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma buy a 2,644 sq ft apartment in Mumbai's Versova on the 24th floor of Godrej Skyshore, Andheri West, for ₹18.29 crore. The sale was registered on July 21, 2026. The sale deed itself was executed on July 8. Property registration documents confirm the transaction with Godrej Properties as the seller.

The apartment has a RERA carpet area of 245.71 sq metres. That breaks into 216.30 sq metres of primary carpet area and 29.41 sq metres of exclusive area, which works out to roughly 2,328 sq ft of usable space with an additional 316 sq ft attached. Three car parking spaces come with the deal.

On a per square foot basis, the transaction works out to approximately ₹69,159 per sq ft on the RERA carpet area. Stamp duty paid was ₹1.09 crore. Registration fees came to ₹30,000.

Why Versova and Why Now

Versova has been changing fast. What most people still think of as a quiet fishing village at the end of the metro line has quietly become one of the more sought-after luxury addresses in Andheri West.

The sea proximity helps. So does the metro access from Versova station on Line 1. And the proposed Mumbai Coastal Road North project, which will eventually link this stretch of the western suburbs to South Mumbai and BKC far more smoothly than is currently possible, has been drawing serious interest from buyers who think five to seven years ahead.

Godrej Skyshore is clearly benefiting from that interest. Actor Tabu had already bought a 2,153 sq ft apartment in the same building in April 2026 for ₹10 crore. Two significant celebrity real estate investments in the same project within months of each other are the kind of signal that tends to move a neighbourhood's profile pretty quickly.

A Portfolio That Has Been Growing for Years

These luxury apartments in Mumbai are the latest addition to what has become a fairly substantial real estate portfolio for Kohli and Sharma.

The pair paid ₹37.86 crore in January of this year for more than five acres of land in Zirad village, which is close to Awas Beach in Alibaug. According to papers obtained by CRE Matrix, the transaction was recorded on January 13 and covered two adjacent parcels totaling about 21,010 square meters.

Prior to that, they had paid over ₹19 crore for an eight-acre plot of land in Alibaug back in 2022. On the property currently sits a villa with a temperature-controlled pool, a jacuzzi, a custom kitchen, four baths, a garden, staff quarters, and covered parking.

Additionally, Kohli owns a 10,000-square-foot house in Gurugram's DLF Phase 1, which is reportedly valued at about ₹80 crore and features a private gym and pool.

What It Signals for Versova

Celebrity purchases in a specific building or neighbourhood do something that price data alone cannot fully capture. They shift perception.

When buyers see names like Kohli and Sharma in the registration documents of a building in a locality, it tends to draw genuine attention to that address. Not just from fans but from serious investors who read these transactions as a signal of where demand is heading.

Versova has earned this attention on its own. The coastal road project, the existing metro access, the quieter residential character compared to busier Andheri West stretches, and the sea proximity all make a case for the locality that does not depend on any celebrity endorsement.

But at ₹69,159 per square foot, Godrej Skyshore is now setting a benchmark for what premium Versova real estate commands. And with multiple high-profile buyers choosing the same project, that benchmark looks like it will hold.
